In this tutorial, a single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) is designed and animated using AutoDesk Inventor Professional. The exported video file is then converted to gif format via the use of ffmpeg in the Windows PowerShell terminal.

Note that this design is a segmented representation of a SWCNT, as the length to diameter ratio of CNTs typically exceeds 1000.
